The Assumption of Mary Thursday 15th August
The Assumption of Mary commemorates of the death of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The feast is known as the Assumption because Mary’s body did not decay, but she was raised up, body and soul, into heaven. The whole class and ELC will be attending Mass to commemorate Mary’s death, all are welcome to join us at 9:15am.
Some classes have been learning about Mary in Religion lessons at school: The Year 3 students have learnt to pray the Hail Mary to Mary to ask her to help them in times of need, to pray for others and members of our community. 1 Teal have learnt that Mary is known as the mother of all and the Queen of Heaven and have made Marian Crowds in class.

Archdiocesan Assembly
Archbishop Christopher Prowse invites everyone to take part in the Archdiocesan Assembly that will explore the theme ‘Come Holy Spirit.’ This will focus on celebrating the Year of the Holy Spirit and explore new opportunities for evangelisations and synodality in the life and mission of our local Church going forward.
This is a chance for all to gather, discuss and discern the Holy Spirit at work in our midst.
